DID YOU KNOW

As of April 2016, thanks to the Energy Act 2011, your tenants can request energy efficiency improvements to your property that you may not be able to refuse. If these requests are ignored, local authorities may be able to fine you and make you undertake the improvements.

Helping private landlords across Devon

We’re not currently accepting new applications for funding towards replacement gas boilers at present.

If your tenants are on qualifying income related benefits you can apply for:

  • Free cavity wall insulation
  • Free loft insulation
  • Funding towards a replacement A rated boiler if your current oil or LPG boiler is broken or isn’t working properly and over 5 years old. There will be a contribution required to the cost of replacement boilers through this offer.
  • Funding towards a full gas central heating system if you have never previously had a gas central heating system.

You don’t have to be an E.ON customer to qualify for CosyDevon.

Act now – our scheme won’t last forever so don’t miss out. It’s a great opportunity to help make sure your property will be compliant with forthcoming legislation as well as helping to make them cosier and cheaper to run for your tenants

What’s in it for you?

  • Making energy saving improvements to your property could increase its value by 14 per cent on average
  • You may see a reduction in maintenance fees
  • Your tenants’ homes are likely to be warmer and more comfortable, whilst saving them money on heating bills
  • If your tenants are happy they are more likely to stay longer
